Tom Douthit, Executive Director

Tom assumed the role of Executive Director in March 2020. Prior to his role with Toolbox, Tom served for 31 years as a pastor with BridgePoint Bible Church in Houston. A longtime Houston resident, Tom graduated from Memorial High School, Texas A&M University and Dallas Theological Seminary. Tom has been married to Celia since 1985. Celia serves as School Nurse at Bunker Hill Elementary in the Spring Branch School District. Tom and Celia have 4 grown children, a daughter-in-law, 2 sons-in-law and 3 grandchildren.

Troy McDaniel

Assistant Director

About Troy
Troy McDaniel

Troy assumed the role of Assistant Director in June of 2024. His primary focus is developing "next step" growth opportunities for men. These include starting small group discovery Bible studies and Inquire groups. Prior to his role with Toolbox, Troy served for 30 years as a family pastor with five different churches in Texas and Georgia. Before that, he served as a missionary in Thailand. Troy graduated from Texas State University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He has been married to Debbie since 1994. Debbie is an RN, and currently works as a flight attendant for United Airlines. Troy and Debbie have three children and have lived in the Houston area since 2003

About Lorena
Lorena Orvañanos

Responsible for developing and managing all communications and marketing for Toolbox and accountable for ensuring our guests have a great experience every time they attend one of our events. Before her role at Toolbox, Lorena worked for ten years as a business developer for Neora International, empowering people to be entrepreneurial leaders and creating a culture based on helping others excel and achieve excellence. She has been married to Alejo since 1998. They have three grown children.
